Henriette Bonde-Hansen has been one of Denmark's leading sopranos for a generation. She has managed her talent with care and talent and is today at the peak of her career with a flourishing virtuoso voice and a unique artistic energy.
She has an extensive operatic repertoire which, in addition to all the great Mozart roles, includes Dircé/MÉDÉE, Fiorilla/IL TURCO IN ITALIA, Adina/L'ELISIR D'AMORE, Marzelline/FIDELIO, Gilda/RIGOLETTO, Juliette/ROMEO ET JULIETTE, Nanetta/FALSTAFF, Rosaura/LA VEDOVA SCALTRA, Sophie/DER ROSENKAVALIER, Zdenka/ARABELLA, Melisande/PELLÉAS ET MÉLISANDE, Lucia/ LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, Elvira/ I PURITANI and Semiramide/SEMIRAMIDE.
Henriette has worked on all the major opera stages in Amsterdam, Toulouse, Montpellier, Paris-Bastille and Theater an der Wien, Théâtre du Châtelet, La Monnaie, Opéra Bordeaux and Musikverein Vienna. She has also performed with the greatest orchestras in Europe, including the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Royal Danish Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestre National de Montpellier, Gewandhausorchester, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and among the many prominent conductors she has performed with are Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Claus Peter Flor, Christopher Hogwood, Fabio Luisi, Marc Minkowski and Antonio Pappano.
Henriette's concert repertoire ranges widely from Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Brahms' EIN DEUTSCHES REQUIEM, Faure's REQUIEM, Liszt's CHRISTUS, Mahler's 2nd, 4th and 8th symphonies and Nielsen's 3rd Symphony. Also Debussy's PELLEÄS ET MELISANDE, Dutilleux's CORRESPONDANCES, Mahler's DES KNABEN WUNDERHORN, Delius' LIEDER and Berlioz' NUITS D'ETE and Chausson's POEME DE L´AMOUR ET DE LA MER.
She has recently recorded Bizet's IVAN IV with the Orchestra Philharmonic de Radio France and LA VEDOVA SCALTRA with the Orchestra Nationale de Montpellier conducted by Enrique Mazzola. She has also recorded a number of Mozart operas with the Danish National Orchestra under the baton of Adam Fischer: Cinna/LUCIO SILLA, Aspasia/MITRIDATE, Aminta/IL RE PASTORE and Ilia/IDOMENEO.
Henriette studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen and continued at the Opera Academy, where she graduated in 1993.
