In this concert, we are taken through a landscape of ethereal and romantic dreamy music and dance. We also have 2 world premieres this evening. A newly written work by Anders Koppel written for the clarinetist Jonas Frølund, as well as a world premiere of Kizzy Matiagis choreography for Per Nørgård's 5th string quartet Inscape. Nørgård's 5th string quartet borrows material from his 4th string quartet Dreamscape. Nørgård invites the audience into an intimate and revelatory world where you become completely familiar with the smallest intervals.
The concert concludes with Brahms' heartfelt and beautiful masterpiece: The Clarinet Quintet. We are happy to present the jubilee Norwegian String Quartet Vertavo String Quartet for our pageant this year. Here we can hear them and Jonas Frølund unfold in Brahms' rich, both intimate and emotional universe.
The concert has been made possible through our close collaboration with Musikforeningen Klassisk in Frederiksberg. This concert will be recorded by DR, P2.
